About Our Seminars
Our seminars offer focused instruction on engineering and other subjects for busy people. Both Local 39 members and non-members are welcome. We are also pleased to offer custom-designed seminars to meet the specific needs of your organization. How to Register
Early registration is encouraged due to limited space in our seminars.
To register, please download our Registration Form using Adobe Acrobat. Complete the form and submit it along with payment to:

*Cash, checks, money orders and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover) are accepted. Address checks and money orders to Local 39 Training Department. *Cash accepted only at the San Francisco Headquarters Training Center.

Completion Certificates
Students who successfully complete a seminar will receive a completion certificate from Local 39.

Course Changes and Cancellation
Local 39 Training Department reserves the right to make any changes to the course day, time, location and curriculum. Courses with fewer than 25 registrants may be subject to cancellation. In the event that a course is cancelled, all registrants will receive a full refund.

Refund Policy
Full refunds will be made when a class is full or has been cancelled. Students who wish to withdraw must notify Local 39 Training Department 72 hours prior to the start of the class to receive a full refund. No refunds will be given for late notifications. All refunds will be sent by mail.

Fee Categories
Member of a Contributing Employer:
A Local 39 member whose employer contributes monies to the Local 39 Training Fund annually by Union contract. This member receives the lowest registration rate for Local 39-sponsored classes and seminars. If the student registers for a full-semester, job-related course at a community college or regional occupation center, Local 39 Training Department will reimburse the student a maximum amount of seventy-five dollars of the registration fee per semester, pending successful completion of the class and a passing grade.
Member of a Non-Contributing Employer:
A Local 39 member whose employer does not contribute monies to the Training Fund. This member receives a higher registration rate than a member of a contributing employer. Registration for a full semester, job-related course at a community college or regional occupation center is not subject to reimbursement by Local 39 Training Department.
Non-Member:
A non-member of Local 39 is welcome to register for classes at a higher registration rate than that of a member of a contributing or non-contributing employer.

Additional Fees
Replacement certificates from previous semesters are available for an administrative fee of $10 per certificate. Fees incurred due to non-sufficient fund checks or declined credit card payments will be charged to the student.
